The 2005 Wind Summit was a fantastic success gauging from the breadth and depth of  participants, speakers, and discussions. Many thanks to all who contributed to and attended this event! Presentation files will be available at this site in the near future, so check back soon for this information, meeting notes, and a summary report.  To shine the light on our region's potential, the Southeast & Mid-Atlantic Regional Wind Summit will enable us to grow toward a clean, secure, and economical energy future...with wind.

Walk the talk...This event was "wind powered" with 1mWh worth of renewable energy credits from wind energy generated in West Virginia. This clean, renewable, wind power provided more than enough electricity to supply our event at the McKimmon Center, thanks to our sponsor Community Energy, Inc.

Those in attendance included:

Wind Working Group members, Government Agencies,  Legislators and Local Decision Makers
Utility groups and Representatives, Environmental organizations
Wind Turbine Companies and Developers

The 2005 Wind Summit was part of the Energy Independence Days, a week-long series of energy events, brought to you by the NC Solar Center, The ASU Energy Center, Triangle J Council of Government, Central Carolina Community College and Wake Tech Community College, with the support of the State Energy Office Department of Administration, National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium, Earthfare Natural Food Market and the American Lung Association of North Carolina.
